District 14 Hull Comic Con | August 2018

I know what you’re thinking. Two Comic Cons in a month, you really are obsessed. We are maybe getting there but I don’t think we have quite earnt the title yet. When I was not interested in Comic Cons, I did not realise how many there were in a year, and that is just in Yorkshire. There are loads. Which we don’t mind, really, due to us enjoying them.   The main reason we decided to visit this Comic Con, apart from Ginger’s and my brother’s obsession with Star Wars, was that it was free. Yes, you heard me, FREE. Now there is an incentive to check out anything. Everyone…

    Sunshine Blogger Award

So exciting news. I have been nominated to take part in the ‘Sunshine Blogger Award’ by Jess (A Greek Lifestyle Blogger). She is awesome and you should definitely check her out. Now, as I still consider myself as being new to the blogging world, I was not surprised when I didn’t have a clue what this award was about. So, as did Jess, I had to give it a quick google. For those who are in the same position as me, I shall let you into the secrets of what all this is about before I start. Sunshine Blogger Award is a great way of giving fellow bloggers the gratitude and the recognition that they…

Hull Pride 2018 | My Experience

My first ever pride. Yeah, that’s right. I’ve never been to Pride before and that is disgraceful, I know. To be honest I didn’t even realise Hull Pride was on in Hull until my friend, Joe, informed me. Obviously, I was quick to jump on the invite to go. Rallying up my two friends, Beth and Kim, we chose our outfits, kitted up with glitter and planned our trip to meet up with Joe and his boyfriend (who I was so excited to meet). I could not find any face jewels anywhere in town so I had to be creative. My mum is a card maker and so she has…

Little Mix UK Tour | July 2018

The second my friend, Joe, asked if I would enjoy seeing ‘Little Mix‘ live, I was excited to the max. I love ‘Little Mix‘ and have done since they were formed on the X-Factor. I think their music is energetic and so easy obsessable (did I just make up a word there? Yes, yes I did). I do not know anyone who can sit and listen to a ‘Little Mix‘ song and not sing along, whether it be out loud and proud, timid and under the breath or simply just in your head. They are so memorable. So, back to my original point, my friend asked me if I wanted…

    Icmeler, Turkey | May/June 2018

We went on our first holiday together!   Well, to be honest, we had this holiday booked just three months into the relationship but it was exciting toactually get on the plane and go. I will apologise now for the length of this post but we did go for two weeks so there is a lot that I can review. If you would like to skip then the basics you need to know is that WE LOVED ICMELER.   We booked our holiday through Jet2 Holidays in November 2017. We were planning on going for a week but after looking at the price difference, it was only about £50 more…

    Blackpool | May 2018

I know this post is a little late but considering that I hadn’t even downloaded WordPress by May this year, I feel like I can be let off a little bit. May is Ginger’s birthday and this year he turned 21! A big birthday, of course. So I decided to take him to Blackpool for a three day weekend, and what a weekend it was. We stayed at a lovely little B&B, a short walk from the tower, called ‘The Norwood‘. Reasonably priced, I didn’t expect anything extravagant but it impressed us both. Breakfast included and a beautiful room was what we were given and we couldn’t complain really.  …

    Review: Adrift (2018) #JustAThought

It’s Tuesday and that can only mean one thing… Meerkat Movies!   I LOVE Meerkat Movies because it’s a cheap date night for me and Ginger. Not that we skimp constantly but when it comes to the cinema, it can be quite pricey. Meerkat Movies allows us to have some us time as well as watch films we are dying to see. This particular film was one just for me. As I have previously mentioned in my ‘The Shallows‘ review, I do love films which involve the sea/ocean and sharks. This also scopes across films featuring stranded people at sea. Once again, I don’t know why but they just drag me…
